'Life is local'

That's the ethos behind a series of free all-inclusive community websites launched by the Yorkshire Evening Post featuring all things local to your west Leeds neighbourhood. The paper has five websites launched covering communities in west Leeds to date with a lot more to follow in 2008.

These are:
www.bramleytoday.co.uk
www.farsleytoday.co.uk
www.calverleytoday.co.uk
www.armleytoday.co.uk
www.wortleytoday.co.uk

On the websites you will find up-to-date news and sport updates, debate on community issues important to you, latest local planning applications, video, audio, TV, slideshows, and a whole lot more. And updated on a daily basis. Andrew Hutchinson, Yorkshire Evening Post's Digital Community Editor, said: 'We want these sites to be your daily source of news, sport and entertainment for the very latest on what's going on in your community.' Andrew is also calling on the support of community groups keen to promote themselves for free both locally and to a wider audience.

'We want all community groups to get involved by using the wesbites to publicise their events to the local community and further afield.,' he said. 'Get in touch - I am only a phone call away or email to make that happen.' Do you have ny snippets of news you are keen to feature for free on your local community website? If so, contact Andrew Hutchinson on (0113) 2388377 or email him at: andrew.hutchinson@ypn.co.uk
